Which systems are supported?

Pudding for Windows 11 is available in Microsoft Store for x64 and ARM64, with installation and updates handled by the Store. For macOS, Apple silicon needs macOS 14.0 or later, and Intel needs macOS 15.5 or later.

What are the Windows limitations?

The Windows version does not currently include local computer use, camera capture or voice dictation. Commands require PowerShell 7; Git and Go features need their respective tools. Scheduled tasks require Pudding to stay running and the device to stay awake.

Do I need to pay or sign up?

Pudding is free for personal and commercial use, and there is no account to create. Model providers may charge separately, and connecting an outside service requires signing in to it.

Will it do things on my computer without asking?

No. Pudding asks before it accesses folders or operates your apps, and you choose how commands are approved for each project. You can review and revoke permissions, every step appears in the conversation, and you can stop at any time.

Where is my data stored?

Conversations and settings stay on your computer, and project files stay in the folder you choose. When you use a model or external tool, the relevant content is sent to the services you configure or authorize.

Which parts are open source?

The Agent core is open source under Apache-2.0. The desktop app is free to use under a proprietary license; it is not open source.
